Hey Salty!

and so on.

Is it too complicated for you ? Or why don't you rename your files for
a better work with it ?

I'd like to say something about this. I can spend all day or several
days downloading HQ photos from the sources I know about. I don't mind
using my bandwidth to dl and upload them. What I think is ridiculous
is that people would actually complain because a poster doesn't want
to spend another couple hours renaming them before they post them.

If a person is going to be a leach that's fine but it offends me when
such a person whines about the files they get being named so they
cause a little bit of work by the user. On my last post I renamed the
files to get an idea of the extra time it takes to do it. Whether I do
it or not in the future will depend on my mood.

I am not the biggest poster here and I don't pretend to speak for
those that are, only myself. No offense to you Dragon. I'm not who
you're talking to about this. I'm just trying to explain that a lot of
work goes into collecting them as named and posting them that way.

Do you really think you have a right to ask for more from those kind
enough to post?

The problem is that it shouldn't take all that much effort to give the
files names that make them more usable to those who follow the newsgroup.
There are tons of utilities that exist to make this an easy task on
Windows. On Linux, a simple shell script will do the job. Appending a
name onto the front of a group of files should be doable in under a minute
per directory.

Perfect so you have a plan to take care of them once you get them.

Stuff like that isn't worth downloading. It simply gets deleted from the
list. Stuff that you post (and others, like Han Solo) is easy to download
to be looked at later, so those posts are worth keeping.

People will post whatever they want to. I have no problem with that.
Killfile entries are easy to set up to get rid of unwanted stuff.
